We are pleased to announce the great success, in terms of active involvement and participation, of the event “Migration: turning challenges into opportunities” the Mutual Learning workshop, hosted by the European Commission Representation in Italy at Spazio Europa (Rome) on the 13th of March 2018.
The initiative was promoted by the Dandelion and InterHealth Projects, funded by the European Commission, in collaboration with The Node and OIS, under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The event hosted 30 Italian and international speakers, representing organizations and projects such as OIS, THE NODE, European Commission, ISS Istituto Superiore di Sanità, IOM International Organisation for Migration, AMREF, University of southern Denmark, University of Cassino, Associazione Carta di Roma, PLATFORMA, CEMR Council of European Municipalities and Regions, UNIDO, AUTH, PROGRAMMA INTEGRA, VIS, Medici con l’Africa Cuamm , Migrascope, MEDU, Sanità di Frontiera, EPOS,Voci di Confine, E-more project, Centro Studi e Ricerche IDOS, Oasi Sociale, Cooperativa Kairos, Casa Scalabrini 634.

The event welcomed 90 participants, including representatives of IOM International Organisation for Migration, IFAD, ASPIC, UNHCR, UNESCO, CNR, Migrants & Refugees Section, Think2.it, Saluteinternazionale.info, International Rescue Committee, AICS, IDLO and many other, contributed to the discussion.

During the afternoon session the topic was Health and Migration: national and international Best Practices for health care professionals training in a multicultural context.
The purpose of the day was to share ideas, experiences and solutions to stimulate discussion and mutual learning.
